Here’s Me

I’ve been sketching, creating and learning as long as I can recall. Creativity doesn’t seem to be contained at the workspace for me - when I’m creating I’m who I am.

In that sense I’ve found creativity in my career to be an aspiration, to be who I am in a field I thrive in. At a young age developing that aspiration into actionable goals felt limiting in my environment - I didn’t know creative professionals personally nor did practical next steps present themselves in ways other occupations did. Nevertheless, I drew, I sketched, designed and asked a bevy of questions along the way.

Asking questions and being willing to learn shaped my perspective. I soon discovered that embracing each stage in the art process was essential to not only better myself but my professional team as a whole. I carry that lesson forward, curiosity of the craft is vital to my continued development and brings me to new fresh experiences.

This approach brought me to study commercial arts & technology and led me to my first major step in my professional career as an artist.

Years later, I can still recall the feeling of satisfaction when I saw “artist” on my job title for the first time. This was an unexplored space for me and while I had a wealth of support from loved ones the journey was an isolating one all the same. Isolating yet empowering.

I am excited for what my next chapter brings, who can teach me and all the visions my art can bring to life.

be well,
